Concern over Salim Khan’s health condition
Maharashtra: The health of famous writer Salim Khan of Hindi film industry has suddenly deteriorated. 90-year-old Salim Khan was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai on the morning of 17 February 2026. He was brought to the emergency and soon shifted to the ICU. This situation has worried Bollywood as well as millions of his fans.
Reason for hospitalization
Salim Khan was brought to the hospital at around 8:30 am by his family doctor, Dr. Sandeep Chopra. According to reports, he was feeling dizzy. Blood clot has also been mentioned in some news, but the hospital has not yet given official information. Doctors immediately started examining him and he was kept in ICU.
Salim Khan’s health update
Doctor Jalil Parkar of Lilavati Hospital is looking after him. His medical team includes neurologist Dr. Vinay Chavan, cardiologist Dr. Ajit Menon, neurosurgeon Dr. Nitin Dange and Dr. Bineet Ahluwalia. The hospital said that Salim Khan’s condition is currently stable.
He has been kept under close observation and doctors are monitoring his every activity. Due to the wishes of the family, further details are not being shared. The hospital has said that a press bulletin will be issued tomorrow at 11 am with the consent of the family.
Salman Khan’s hospital visit
As soon as this news spread, superstar Salman Khan stopped his shooting and immediately rushed to the hospital. She was also accompanied by Arbaaz Khan, Sohail Khan, Alvira Agnihotri, Ayaan Agnihotri and other family members. Concern was evident on everyone’s faces. Salman and family members remained sitting near his father. Fans are praying for Salim Khan’s speedy recovery on social media.
Biography of Salim Khan
Salim Khan was born in 1935 in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. He married Sushila Charak in 1964, who was later named Salma. From this marriage he had four children, Salman, Arbaaz, Sohail and Alvira. He later married Helen and adopted Arpita.
The Salim-Javed duo gave a new direction to Bollywood in the 1970s. Dialogues and stories of classic films like ‘Sholay’, ‘Deewar’, ‘Zanjeer’, ‘Don’, ‘Trishul’ are associated with his name.
