5000 police personnel deployed for security

Tight security arrangements have been made for the Hola Mohalla festival in the holy city of Sri Anandpur Sahib in Punjab. Special DGP Arpit Shukla has inspected the security arrangements so that the event can be organized in a safe and orderly manner.

This festival will be celebrated from March 2 to 4, 2026. Arpit Shukla said that all necessary arrangements should be made for the convenience of lakhs of devotees.

The area was divided into 12 sectors

For security, the entire area has been divided into 12 sectors, in which about 5000 police personnel have been deployed. Six drones have also been deployed for aerial surveillance, live feed of which will be seen on the central control room.

Special preparations for peaceful event

Arpit Shukla said that the police has implemented many new initiatives so that the devotees do not face any kind of difficulty. 21 parking areas have been arranged and a colour-coding scheme will be implemented to guide the devotees.

For convenience, 100 e-rickshaws and 50 mini-buses along with 24-hour shuttle services will be available. Apart from this, QR-code based information systems have been installed at various places so that devotees can get all the necessary information.
