New twist in Sanjay Kapoor’s property dispute
After Sanjay Kapoor’s death, his third wife Priya Kapoor claimed that all the properties in the will were given to her and their son. However, Sanjay’s children from his first wife Karisma Kapoor, Samaira and Kiaan, as well as their mother Rani Kapoor, questioned the validity of the will. He alleged that the will was fraudulent and fake. The will is kept in a sealed cover in the registrar of the court.
As per the court order, the original will will be examined on March 10, 2026 at 3 pm. Karishma, Rani and her lawyers, as well as forensic and handwriting experts will also be present. Priya Kapoor’s lawyer has also been instructed to be present. If Priya’s lawyer does not turn up, the investigation will continue without him. However, no photo or copy of the will can be made during the investigation.
In the hearing, Karishma’s lawyer said that a copy of the will has already been received, but the original document needs to be examined so that its authenticity can be established. The court rejected Priya’s objections and allowed the investigation. This decision is being considered a big victory for Karisma’s children and Rani Kapoor. Sanjay Kapoor was a prominent businessman who had a stake in his company Sona Comstar. After his death, a dispute started in the family regarding distribution of property. Priya Kapoor considers herself the main heir, while Karisma’s children and Rani Kapoor are demanding a share.
