Tips and tricks for skin care in summer

How to take care of skin in summer

As soon as March arrives, the effects of heat start being felt. Rising temperatures and strong sunlight have the biggest impact on our skin. Hot winds and sun can make the skin tan, dry and lifeless. Therefore, it is extremely important to take proper care of the skin in this season. Let us know what things should be kept in mind to keep your skin healthy and safe in summer.

Summer skin care tips

Applying sunscreen every day: Apply sunscreen on your face 15-20 minutes before going outside. Even if you are not going out, don’t forget to apply sunscreen. Choose a sunscreen of SPF 50 or higher. If you sweat a lot or spend a lot of time in the sun, reapply sunscreen every 2-3 hours.

Avoid sunlight: To protect your skin in summer, avoid going out between 11 am to 4 pm. The sunlight is very strong at this time, which can cause damage to your skin. If you have to go out during this time, use an umbrella, sunglasses and a hat.

Wear light and loose clothes: To avoid skin rashes in this season, wear light clothes like cotton so that air can circulate. Light colored clothes absorb less sunlight.

Keep your body hydrated: To keep your skin naturally glowing in summer, drink enough water throughout the day. Apart from water, also drink coconut water, buttermilk and fruit juices. Also, use aloe vera gel or rose water to cool your skin. Wash your face with cold water to remove dust and sweat.

Reduce makeup: Reduce the use of heavy creams, heavy makeup or oily products in summer. Gel-based moisturizers are best for your skin. Washing your face with cold water after coming out from outside can provide relief from sunburn.
