What was said in the fatwa?
In this fatwa, the dance moves of the song and its content have been termed as obscene and immoral. The head of the organization, Mufti Maulana Chaudhary Ifrahim Hussain said that such content promotes obscenity in the society and is against Islamic values. The song is a Hindi version of a Kannada film starring Sanjay Dutt along with Nora Fatehi.

Controversy over song lyrics
As soon as the song was released, a huge controversy arose over its lyrics and dance steps. Many people called it an example of objectivist view of women and obscenity. Earlier, the National Commission for Women had issued summons to Nora, Sanjay Dutt, lyricist Rakib Alam and film producers. Now the fatwa of the religious institution has made this matter more serious. The song has been removed from YouTube and the government and the censor board have also become active.
Nora Fatehi’s clarification
Nora Fatehi has broken her silence on this controversy and given clarification. He said in a video message that the song was shot in the Kannada version three years ago. He felt that it was a part of a big film and it would be good to work with an actor like Sanjay Dutt. But no information was given to them about the changes in the lyrics and posters of the Hindi version.
Nora also said that the makers did not take her permission for Hindi lyrics. She said, ‘I do not support obscene content. After seeing the Hindi version, I felt that this was wrong, I had already warned the director. Nora further said that this may affect her career, but she is telling the truth. He appealed to his fans not to share the song further. This controversy is once again giving rise to debate on song lyrics, dance and censorship in Bollywood. On one hand, there is talk of artistic freedom, on the other hand, the issue of morality and respect for women is also being raised in the society.
