Shakira’s India tour canceled

After a long wait of almost 19 years, she was scheduled to perform in India this April, but due to rising tensions between the US and Iran, her concert has been postponed indefinitely. Shakira was to perform in Mumbai on 10 and 11 April and in Delhi on 15 April. There was tremendous excitement about his show, due to which fans from India and abroad booked expensive tickets and hotels. Now the fans are angry due to the postponement of the concert. One user wrote, “Who will refund my flight fare?” While another fan said, “Let’s just say this event has been cancelled, my heart is broken.” Fans are also asking the organizers whether they will compensate their losses?
Organizers’ statement
The organizers said that the event was being organized by Zomato’s district platform under the Feeding India Concert. “Due to the current regional tensions, Shakira’s concert is being postponed until further notice. The safety of fans, artists and crew is of utmost importance to us,” they said in an official statement on Instagram. The organizers also clarified that those who had purchased tickets will get the refund within 5-7 working days.
Kanye West’s show also affected
Hollywood rapper Kanye West’s Delhi concert has also been postponed by two months due to Middle East tensions. He was earlier scheduled to perform on March 29, but now his show will be held on May 23. Now it remains to be seen how long this situation continues.
