Mumbai: Pawan Kalyan and Raashi Khanna’s film ‘Ustad Bhagat Singh’ is slowly doing well at the box office. The action drama has earned over Rs 91 crore globally in 10 days of its release. The film has received mixed response from the audience, yet it is maintaining its hold in the theatres.
Collection of ‘Ustad Bhagat Singh’
Will ‘Ustad Bhagat Singh’ cross the Rs 100 crore mark?
As per trade reports, the film has earned around Rs 68.13 crore (net) in India so far. The total gross collection in India has reached approximately Rs 80.02 crore. The film has earned Rs 11.60 crore from the overseas market. Including these figures, the total worldwide collection of the film has become Rs 91.62 crore, which is considered a strong figure.
Expected improvement in collection on weekend
There is hope of some improvement in the collection due to weekend on Saturday.
The film had a great opening in the first week, earning around Rs 65.95 crore in the first seven days. However, there has been a decline in the collections in the second week. On the seventh day (Wednesday) the film earned Rs 1.35 crore, while on the eighth day (Thursday) it dropped to Rs 1.00 crore. There was a slight increase on the ninth day (Friday) and earnings of Rs 1.10 crore. The collection is expected to improve as Saturday is a weekend.
clash with dhurandhar 2
The film may get a slight boost during the weekend, but it is facing tough competition from Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhar’s film ‘Dhurandhar 2’. Both the films were released on the same day, and ‘Dhurandhar 2’ has created a stir at the box office. Because of this ‘Ustad Bhagat Singh’ is facing some loss. The story of the film and Pawan Kalyan’s style is pleasing to the audience, but the word of mouth is not entirely positive.
movie review
Some viewers say that the action and drama in the film is good, while some find the script weak. Raashi Khanna has also performed well in her role. Now the question is whether ‘Ustad Bhagat Singh’ will be able to cross the Rs 100 crore mark worldwide? If the weekend is good in the coming days and the collection remains stable in the second week, then it is possible. But the presence of a big film like ‘Dhurandhar 2’ remains a challenge.
Fans of the film are hoping that Pawan Kalyan’s magic will work again and the film will join the 100 crore club. The performance so far is decent, but the data of the next few days will be very important. Every film needs the support of the audience at the box office. For a big budget film like ‘Ustad Bhagat Singh’, it is necessary to maintain consistent earnings after a good opening.
