Mumbai: Pawan Kalyan’s film ‘Ustad Bhagat Singh’ has maintained its position at the box office despite difficult circumstances. The film was released on March 19 along with Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar 2’ and has collected around Rs 70 crore nett in India in 12 days. Globally its earnings have reached close to Rs 94 crore.

This action-drama has been directed by Harish Shankar and stars Pawan Kalyan in a stellar performance. The film has a great mix of patriotism, message and action, which is very much liked by Pawan Kalyan’s fans. However, due to the tremendous success of ‘Dhurandhar 2’ it is facing tough competition.
Collection details of ‘Ustad Bhagat Singh’
According to trade analysts, the film earned over Rs 65.95 crore in the first week. The collection declined in the second week, earning Rs 1 crore on Day 8, Rs 1.10 crore on Day 9, Rs 86 lakh on Saturday and Rs 1.03 crore on Sunday. The film had the lowest collection on Monday (Day 12), only Rs 35 lakh. Thus, the total net collection in India became approximately Rs 70.29 crore.
Gross collections and future prospects
The gross collection in India is around Rs 82.6 crore, while the overseas collection is around Rs 11.78 crore. Overall, the worldwide gross has reached Rs 94.38 crore. The film is moving towards joining the 100 crore club. The average occupancy of the film on Monday was 14.55 percent, which included 9.55% occupancy in the morning show, 13.73% in the afternoon, 17.09% in the evening and 13.09% in the night show. The film is running in more than 17 thousand shows in total, but now the number of screens is decreasing.

Due to Pawan Kalyan’s strong fan base, the film is making good collections in the second week also. The audience is appreciating the message and action sequences given in the film. The film is still running in a few screens and a slight increase is expected in the coming days due to holidays or word of mouth.
