Ranveer Singh’s film crosses Rs 1600 crore mark
Success of Dhurandhar 2 and changes in censor board
Mumbai: Ranveer Singh’s film ‘Dhurandhar 2’ has now made its place in the Rs 1600 crore club. However, some important changes have taken place after its release, which are attracting people’s attention. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film has grossed over Rs 1600 crore globally, which is a surprise success for all.
Changes made after the instructions of the Censor Board
Along with Ranveer Singh, actors like Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan and Sara Arjun have given stellar performances. But now news has come that some changes have been made in the theatrical print of the film. According to sources, the Censor Board, while giving the film an ‘A’ certificate, had directed to trim some violent scenes and mute the abuses.
A video had gone viral on social media, in which a glimpse of the cameraman was visible during the bathroom scene. Responding to this, the filmmakers released an updated print. The special thing is that the abuses spoken by Sanjay Dutt’s character Chaudhary Aslam have now been muted. Some of his dialogues in the Liari gang war scene have been replaced with beep sounds. Apart from this, the abuse in Rakesh Bedi’s pedicure scene has also been muted.
The makers of the film say that the CBFC had already given clearance, but in the audience reaction, some people felt uncomfortable due to the abuses. These small changes have been made for a better viewing experience. The new print has recently been released and the changes are so subtle that most viewers will hardly notice. Reactions from fans are mixed; Some believe that the abuses were part of the rough and tough mood of the film, while others consider it a better move to watch with the family.
Overall, ‘Dhurandhar 2’ is still doing great in theaters and its action sequences, story twists and the performances of the actors are being appreciated. The strictness of the Censor Board on big budget films is often a topic of discussion in Bollywood.
