Homeopathy and allopathy are both systems of medicine, but their treatment methods are quite different. In allopathy, medicines are used in all three forms, solid, liquid and gas, whereas homeopathic medicines are usually diluted, due to which their side effects are minimal. For this reason, many people wonder which of these methods is more effective.

Effects of homeopathy for children

According to a study, homeopathic medicines have proved to be better than allopathy for common diseases in children under 2 years of age. The study involved 108 children who were treated with homeopathy or allopathy for common problems such as fever, diarrhea and respiratory problems.

The study found that children taking homeopathic treatment fell ill less often than children taking allopathic treatment. Children treated with homeopathy reported being sick an average of 5 days, while children treated with conventional treatment reported being sick an average of 21 days.

It was also observed in this study that children who were given preference to homeopathy had reduction in respiratory problems. However, no significant difference was found between the two treatment methods in diseases like diarrhea.

The study also showed that homeopathic treatment reduced the need for antibiotics in children only 14 times, compared to 141 times with other treatment methods. This means that homeopathic treatment made the immunity of children stronger.
