Box office success of Dhurandhar 2 and impact of new films

Box office journey of Dhurandhar 2

Mumbai: Ranveer Singh’s film ‘Dhurandhar 2’ directed by Aditya Dhar has performed brilliantly at the box office since its release. The earning of this film in the first three weeks has set a new record in Bollywood. This film has become the first Hindi film to cross the Rs 1000 crore mark in India.

However, now the film has entered its fourth week, and its earnings seem to be slowing down a bit. Nevertheless, the film’s overall earnings still remain very strong and continues to receive love from the audience.

23rd day earnings

Dhurandhar 2’s 23rd day earnings

According to recent reports, the film has earned around Rs 6.70 crore on its 23rd day, which is the lowest single day collection till date. The special thing is that the film’s earnings further declined on Friday, because many new films were released on the same day. Among the new releases, films like ‘Dacait’ and ‘Love Insurance Company’ attracted the attention of the audience. This affected both the screen count and earnings of Dhurandhar 2. The film’s performance in the first three weeks has been excellent.

  • The film had earned Rs 674.17 crore in the first week.
  • A collection of Rs 263.65 crore was made in the second week.
  • By the end of the third week, the film earned Rs 110.60 crore.

Including these figures, the total India net collection of the film has reached Rs 1055.12 crore, while the gross collection has stood at Rs 1262.06 crore.

impact of new movies

The earnings of new films will be affected

It is not easy for any film to maintain collections in the fourth week. When new movies are released, the competition becomes even tougher. Same is the situation with Dhurandhar 2. However, the falling pace of the film cannot be called completely negative, because after such a huge collection this decline is considered normal. Trade experts believe that the film will continue to earn slowly in the coming days and its lifetime collection may increase further.
