Mumbai: The world of Indian music has suffered an irreparable loss today. Famous singer Asha Bhosle passed away on 12 April 2026 at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. His age was 92 years. On April 11, he was admitted to the hospital after cardiac arrest, but despite all the efforts of the doctors, he could not be saved. As soon as this sad news came out, a wave of mourning ran across the country. Fans and big artists are paying tribute to her, saying that this is not just the end of a singer but an era.

Asha Bhosle was born on 8 September 1933 in Sangli, Maharashtra. Her real name was Asha Mangeshkar. She belonged to a musician family. He sang his first song for the Marathi play ‘Majha Bal’ in 1943. After this, he entered Hindi cinema with the film ‘Chunariya’ in 1948. Moving forward from a small beginning, he achieved a position which is not within everyone’s reach.
