Rinku Singh became the hero of the team
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) achieved their first win in IPL 2026. The team recently defeated Rajasthan Royals (RR) by four wickets. Rinku Singh played an important role in this match, who scored an unbeaten half-century.
Rinku scored 53 runs in 34 balls with the help of five fours and two sixes. This is the fourth highest score for KKR while batting at number six in a successful run chase.
Seventh wicket partnership changed the direction of the game
KKR’s performance has not been good this season, but Rinku and Anukul Roy together made an important partnership for the seventh wicket. Batting first, Rajasthan scored 155 runs in 20 overs. In reply, KKR won the match by scoring 161 runs in 19.4 overs.
However, KKR had a bad start and lost six wickets for 85 runs. Jofra Archer dismissed Tim Seifert in the first over, while Nandre Berger also sent captain Ajinkya Rahane to the pavilion early.
Rinku’s bat came at the right time
Rinku Singh was struggling to score runs this season, but in this match he played the role of his finisher at the right time. He along with Anukul Roy made an unbeaten partnership of 76 runs in 37 balls. This is the second highest partnership for a batsman ranked seventh or lower in a successful run chase in the IPL.
