Government employees, retired employees receiving monthly pension more than ₹10,000, income tax payers and persons holding constitutional posts are not eligible for this scheme. The government is continuously identifying such ineligible people through data filtration. Till now, a total amount of more than ₹ 4.27 lakh crore has been directly delivered to farmers through this scheme, thereby reducing their burden of cost of seeds, fertilizers and other agricultural inputs.
