Famous Bollywood actor Bharat Kapoor, who created awe in the audience with his acting, is no more with us. He died of a heart attack at the age of 80. His health was not well for the last three days, due to which there was a wave of mourning in the film industry. His close friend and actor Avtar Gill confirmed the sad news.
Avtar Gill’s emotional statement
Avtar Gill, who was a close friend of Bharat Kapoor, told that Bharat’s son Rahul called him at 3 pm and gave him the sad news. He said, “I knew Bharat ji for fifty years. We did many plays and films together. We were always in touch, but we had not spoken for the last one week. For me, it is like losing an elder brother and mentor.” This relationship was not just one of friendship but like a family. He told that many people from the world of film and theater bid farewell to Bharat Kapoor.

Bharat Kapoor’s last rites were performed at the cremation ground near Sion Hospital on Monday evening at 6 pm. He is survived by his wife Lopa and two sons Rahul and Sagar. His daughter Kavita had passed away a few years ago, for which he was always sad. According to Avtar Gill, along with his family, many close friends from the industry were also present at the funeral. Rakesh Bedi, director Ramesh Talwar and many theater artists paid tribute to him.

Today’s audience may have forgotten Bharat Kapoor, but in the eighties and nineties his name was synonymous with fear. He added so much depth to his character that people were afraid to see him on the street, whereas in real life he was a very friendly and simple person. Avtar Gill said that he never became a star, but he always worked in films. There were many ups and downs in his life, but he never gave up his passion. His story is an inspiration for young artists that only true hard work gives real identity.
