Make Kimchi at home: easy and delicious recipe

Are you a fan of Korean dramas or love to enjoy a variety of international cuisine? If yes, then you must have heard the name of Kimchi. This is a traditional dish of Korea, which is made from fermented vegetables. Although kimchi usually contains fish sauce, many people in India prefer vegetarian food. The good thing is that you can make it in a vegetarian way at home.
You don’t need any special ingredients for this recipe. The taste of kimchi is spicy and spicy. Today we will tell you the method of making veg kimchi.

Cabbage- 1- medium size
Salt- 1/2 cup- coarse
Radish – 1 cup – chopped long
Carrot- 1/2 cup
Green Onions – 5-6 – chopped
Rice flour- 2 tbsp
Water- 1 cup
Red chilli powder- 1/2 cup
Soy sauce – 1/4 cup (instead of fish sauce)
Garlic- 2 tbsp crushed
Ginger- 1 tsp grated
Sugar- 1 tablespoon
Kimchi making process
Firstly, cut the cabbage into four parts and cut into small square pieces. Then, sprinkle a good amount of salt on it and leave it for 2-3 hours. Keep turning it every 30 minutes. When the cabbage becomes soft, wash it 4-5 times. Mix some water and 2 spoons of rice flour in a small pan and cook on low flame. When it thickens, add ground ginger, garlic and onion to it.
Now add red chilli powder and light sugar to it. After this add soya sauce and add chopped radish, carrot, green onion and prepared masala paste in a big vessel. Then add washed cabbage and mix well. When the masala is well applied to the cabbage, fill it tightly in a glass jar, but do not fill the jar till the top and leave some space empty.
Your kimchi will be ready with this simple method. You can eat it immediately, but for better taste leave it at room temperature for a day or two and then keep it in the refrigerator. Serve it with noodles, rice or paratha.
