Mumbai: Famous Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma is celebrating her 38th birthday on 1st May. The story of this talented actress, born in Ayodhya and brought up in Bangalore, is a symbol of hard work, luck and courage. Initially she dreamed of making a career in journalism, but now she has become a celebrity on social media with followers equal to or even more than Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan.
Childhood and early dreams
Anushka was born on 1 May 1988 in Ayodhya. His father, Colonel Ajay Kumar Sharma, served in the Indian Army, while his mother, Ashima Sharma, is a housewife. The disciplined background of his family instilled confidence and truthfulness in him. Anushka received her education from Army School and Mount Carmel College, Bangalore. She was fond of modeling since childhood and started doing small modeling assignments on weekends during her school days. Initially his dream was to become a journalist, but fate turned him towards the film industry.
Journey from modeling to film industry
After coming to Mumbai, Anushka decided to make modeling a career. In 2007 she got her first big break working for famous fashion designer Wendell Rodricks. Anushka and Virat Kohli met at the confluence of the worlds of cricket and film. The two started dating in 2015, but kept their relationship a secret at first. They got married in a private ceremony in Italy in 2017. Today they have two lovely children – daughter Vamika (2021) and son Akay (2024). Spending time with family is Anushka’s biggest happiness.
