14th anniversary of Jannat-2
Crime-thriller film ‘Jannat-2’ completed 14 years of its release on Monday. The leading actress of the film on this special occasion Esha Gupta Expressed his happiness on social media.
The actress shared the poster of the film on Instagram, in which the song ‘Tujhe Sochta Hoon’ was playing. Refreshing his old memories, he wrote, ‘Jannat-2’, 4th May. This beautiful dream came true 14 years ago. I am deeply grateful to all the wonderful people who have supported me on this journey.
For Esha Gupta, this film was not just a project, but the foundation of her career, which brought her recognition overnight. Released in 2012, the film performed brilliantly at the box office and its songs and story made a special place in the hearts of the audience.
Produced by Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt, the film was directed by Kunal Deshmukh. Emraan Hashmi, Randeep Hooda and Esha Gupta played lead roles in it. The audience liked the chemistry of Esha and Imran as well as the songs of the film. Esha played the role of Dr. Janhvi Singh Tomar, the love interest of Emraan Hashmi (Sonu Delhi KKC).
Jhanvi is a calm and sensible doctor who unknowingly gets entangled in the illegal arms trade, and brings love and emotional elements to the story. The film’s dialogues and music composed by Pritam became the main reasons for its success.
The film was the sequel to the 2008 hit film ‘Jannat’, based on the story of the illegal arms trade in Delhi and a gun-smuggler’s (Sonu Delhi) entanglement between love and crime.
