Yash’s journey of struggle

Today, Yash is a major superstar of India, but his journey has been filled with many struggles. Born in an ordinary family in Karnataka, Yash’s father was a BMTC bus driver and mother a housewife. Since childhood, his dream was to become an actor. Despite financial difficulties, he came to Bengaluru with only ₹300. Initially, he worked backstage in theatre, where he was paid ₹50. Gradually, he honed his acting skills and started doing small roles. After this, he got a chance to work in a TV serial, where he got ₹500 per day. With hard work and dedication, Yash made his mark in Kannada cinema and became a superstar across the country with *KGF: Chapter 1* and *KGF: Chapter 2*.

Yash’s dream and struggle

“I always wanted to be an actor.” In an interview, Yash talked about his career and personal life. He said, “I was born in Bhuvanahalli village in Hassan district of Karnataka. My father lived in Mysore, so I spent my childhood there also.” Yash told that he grew up in a normal middle-class family and dreamed of becoming an actor.

Yash said, “There was no other way other than acting. There was no ‘Plan B’ in my life.” Recalling his school days, he told how his teachers used to call him ‘hero’. Yash did a solo act in which he talked about capturing Veerappan.


New journey in Bengaluru

Yash told that when he reached Bengaluru, he had only ₹300. This city was too big and scary for them. But, he continued his struggle and joined the theater group.

KGF success

The film *KGF: Chapter 1*, released in 2018, gave Yash recognition across the country. The film opened new doors for Kannada cinema and was released in multiple languages. The film grossed approximately ₹250 crore. After this, *KGF: Chapter 2* also created many records and became the highest-grossing film of Kannada cinema.

Yash’s two big films are going to be released in 2026. The first film is *Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups*, directed by Geetu Mohandas. After this, Yash will be seen playing the role of Ravana in *Ramayana: Part 1*.
