Shashi Ranjan Kumar’s visit to Chandigarh: Release of new book ‘The Decline of Hindu Civilization’

Chandigarh – Senior IAS officer and Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Secretary Shashi Ranjan Kumar, who is also a renowned author, came to Chandigarh for a special signing event of his new book ‘The Decline of Hindu Civilization’.
During the visit, the UPSC Secretary exchanged views with well-known author and mentor Munish Jindal. Both had in-depth discussions on the complexities of administration, historical perspectives and the current socio-cultural fabric of the society. On this occasion, Munish Jindal presented a copy of his famous book ‘Saada Punjab’ to the UPSC Secretary. At the same time, Shashi Ranjan Kumar presented his book ‘The Decline of Hindu Civilization’, which presents a meaningful account of the progress of a civilization and its gradual movement towards oblivion.
Appreciating the academic expertise of Munish Jindal’s work, Shashi Ranjan Kumar said that ‘Sada Punjab’ serves as the ‘Gazetteer of Punjab’ for researchers, scholars and students. He said the book provides a comprehensive and authentic insight into the history, culture and socio-political scenario of the state.
Expressing his gratitude for this encouragement, Munish Jindal said that it is extremely inspiring to interact with such eminent personalities who make significant contributions to both public administration and literature. He further said that such ideological exchanges provide a better perspective to the young candidates and readers of the region.
