R. Madhavan’s displeasure
Famous actor R. Madhavan has recently been in the news for expressing his displeasure against a wellness brand. He openly expressed his views on social media against the company which allegedly used a clip of one of his interviews in its promotion. Madhavan says that the company took part of his video without his permission and promoted it in such a way that it could give the impression that he is endorsing that product. Describing this as wrong, he also talked about legal action.

On Wednesday, Madhavan shared a screenshot of a short video post made by the wellness brand on his Instagram account. The brand used a snippet from their interview in this post. It was clear from the picture that the video of the interview was presented in such a way that the common people would understand that Madhavan was praising that product. The actor expressed his displeasure regarding this matter.
Madhavan’s reaction
In his response to that picture, Madhavan wrote that this video has been made in such a way as if he himself is promoting that product. He said that his interview has been used directly as publicity material without his permission. Such actions break public trust and people find it difficult to understand who is right and who is wrong. this is so embarrassing.

Apart from this, Madhavan also wrote a detailed caption along with the post. He said that it is sad and shameful that some people and companies can take part of someone’s interview and use it for their own publicity. It is wrong to use an artist’s words or videos as promotional material without their permission. A legal notice has been sent in this matter.
