We all have heard at one time or the other that talking too much can be harmful to health. It has also been advised in our ancient texts that man should speak less. But what is the science behind it? When we talk too much, many parts of our body become active, due to which our energy is spent more. For this reason, some people who talk a lot may start eating more and therefore gain weight.

The second problem is that when people talk more, they have to exhale more, which causes lack of oxygen in their brain. This deficiency causes stress, and due to stress, people often turn to food. Some people even develop drug habit. If they had spoken less and saved their energy, it would have been better for them.

Another disadvantage is that due to speaking quickly, people sometimes say things which they should not say. Due to this they often get into trouble. The best way to avoid these problems is for people to speak thoughtfully and with few interruptions.
