Salman Khan’s new legal dispute
Famous Bollywood actor Salman Khan is once again embroiled in legal disputes. This time the matter is related to his upcoming film ‘Blackbuck Battle for Legacy’. According to reports, Salman has filed a petition in the Delhi High Court against the producers of the film, seeking a stay on the production, promotion and release of the film. This case has sparked new discussions in the entertainment industry. The controversy has increased further after the poster and promotional material of the film came out.
Why did Salman take legal action?
According to reports, Salman Khan alleges that his identity and image have been misused in the promotion of the film. He says that this could harm his reputation. Furthermore, he also said that such portrayal could also impact legal cases to which his name is already linked. In the petition, he has appealed to the court to put a temporary ban on the film and its related publicity.
Film’s relation with black buck case
Salman Khan believes that the story of the film is inspired by the black buck hunting case related to him. He claims that the promotional material released so far contains clues that point the audience directly towards him. On this basis he has lodged his objection in the court.
Who was made a party?
The petition has named the film’s producer Amit Jani, Jani Firefox Films and other persons associated with the project as parties. Salman Khan has requested the court to order a ban on activities related to the production, promotion, streaming and telecast of the film. Now everyone’s eyes are on the next hearing of the court.
