New Delhi: India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a serious warning regarding the sudden change in weather in different parts of the country. Currently, a Western Disturbance is active over North-West India and a Cyclonic Circulation over Central Pakistan, due to which there has been a change in the weather. Heavy rains and strong winds continue in many states, while severe heat and heat waves continue in some areas. Meanwhile, storm and rain have caused deadly havoc in Uttar Pradesh.

The most dangerous form of weather has been seen in Uttar Pradesh. Two women and a teenage girl died tragically due to lightning in Chandauli district during the sudden storm and rain on Saturday. 68-year-old Shakuntala was sweeping outside her house in Bajardiha village of Chakia police station area, when suddenly the weather deteriorated and lightning struck her. Ruby, 35, and Lakshmi, 13, lost their lives in a similar incident in Dhanwal Kalan village. Apart from this, seven people have been injured after a dilapidated roof and tin shed collapsed due to strong winds in Kannauj. Police and administration have started relief work.

Due to active Western Disturbance, thunderstorm warning has been issued in North-West and Eastern India. According to the Meteorological Department, there is an alert of heavy rainfall in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. There is also a possibility of heavy rain in Odisha, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Andaman Nicobar. Strong winds are blowing at the speed of 60 to 95 kilometers per hour in Marathwada, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and UP. Hail has brought relief from the heat in some areas of Rajasthan, but the Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for dust storm and strong winds there.

The northern line of monsoon is currently passing through Harnai, Solapur, Hyderabad and Muzaffarpur. The weather department estimates that the monsoon will cover the rest of Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal as well as parts of Odisha and Chhattisgarh in the next two to three days. However, the double attack of the season continues; There has been a warning of heat wave (loo) for the next two days in the areas of Central Maharashtra, Marathwada and Vidarbha.
