Cocktail 2: The much-awaited film starring Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna has received approval from the censor board ahead of its release. The Central Board of Film Certification has awarded it an ‘A’ certificate. No scene has been cut in the film, due to which all the romantic and intimate scenes are safe.

CBFC has directed to make some modifications in the audio of the film. The board has asked to remove the reference to ‘Jew on the run’. However, the certification order did not make it clear as to what the sentence referred to – a person, art or general communication. Apart from this, instructions have also been given to replace the word ‘Agni’ with ‘Diya’. An objectionable word has also been removed from the subtitles. Following these changes, the film received an official ‘A’ certificate on 16 June.
Movie length and release date
The total length of the film is 149.19 minutes, i.e. 2 hours 29 minutes 19 seconds. ‘Cocktail 2’ is the sequel to the successful 2012 film Cocktail, which starred Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty in the lead roles. The new film is being directed by Homi Adajania, while the production is handled by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films and Luv Ranjan’s Luv Films. The screenplay is written by Tarun Jain and Luv Ranjan, and the music is by Pritam. The film will be released in theaters on June 19.
First A rated film of Kriti Sanon’s career
Kriti’s first A rated film in 12 years of career: The film is proving to be an important milestone for all three lead actors. This is the first A rated film in Kriti Sanon’s 12 year career. For Rashmika Mandanna, this is the second Hindi film after Animal which is releasing with A certificate. At the same time, for Shahid Kapoor, this is another adult film after films like Kaminey, Udta Punjab, Kabir Singh and O Romeo.
