Bandhu 2.0 release and fans’ reactions
The makers of Cocktail 2 have released ‘Bandhu 2.0’, a new version of the famous song ‘Tumhi Ho Bandhu’ from the original film. As soon as this song came out, people immediately started expressing their opinions on social media. Some viewers liked the new pairing of Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna and their energetic performance, while some old fans were not satisfied with this remake.
Fear of trolling and funny video
Interestingly, the makers of the film had anticipated this online trolling. In the promotional video of the song, Shahid Kapoor had jokingly said that recreating any iconic song can be risky as doing so is sure to lead to trolling. And that’s what happened, as soon as the song came online, a series of memes and discussions started on social media regarding its remake.

The story and screenplay of Cocktail 2 has been co-written by Tarun Jain and Luv Ranjan. The film is set to release in theaters on June 19, 2026. Now it remains to be seen how well this new pair can win the hearts of the audience.
