Travel to religious places in Maharashtra: IRCTC’s special tour package

Travel Experience with Indian Railways

If you are planning to visit various religious places in India, Indian Railways is a great option. To avoid the hassle of booking tickets individually, the Railways offers special tour packages. One of the excellent options is the IRCTC tour package, which gives you the opportunity to visit major pilgrimage sites in Maharashtra. This package includes Shirdi, Shani Singhanapur and Nashik, and is of 2 nights and 3 days.

beginning of the journey

The journey starts from Mumbai. Tourists reach Shirdi, one of the most famous pilgrimage destinations in the country, via Vande Bharat Express. Every year lakhs of devotees come here to seek blessings from Sai Baba. Sai Baba is revered by people of all religions and his teachings inspire people even today. On the second day of the journey, the pilgrims will visit Shani Singhanapur, which is located in Ahmednagar district and is famous for the temple of Shani Dev. A special thing here is that many houses do not have traditional doors, because the local people believe that Shani Dev himself protects this village.

Trip to Trimbakeshwar Temple

After this, the journey moves towards Nashik, which is important from religious and cultural point of view. Trimbakeshwar temple here is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. The specialty of this temple is that it has three faces symbolizing Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh, due to which it holds a place of special respect among the devotees.
