How is refined oil made?
Oil is extracted from the seeds along with the peel. The impurities that come in this process are cleaned and refined to make the oil taste, odor and colourless.
Water, salt, caustic soda, sulphur, potassium, acid and other dangerous acids are used in the washing process to remove impurities. This process produces thick waste like tar, which is used in making tyres. This oil becomes toxic due to the acid.
