Jackie Shroff pays tribute to Dilip Kumar on his death anniversary
Tribute in memory of Dilip Kumar
Mumbai: Actor Jackie Shroff has remembered Indian cinema great Dilip Kumar on his death anniversary. He shared a classic black-and-white picture of Dilip Kumar on social media.
Jackie Shroff wrote in his post, “Dilip Sahab will always be in our hearts.” He also shared Dilip Kumar’s dates of birth and death (11 December 1922 – 7 July 2021) and used a folded hands emoji.
Apart from this, Jackie Shroff also paid tribute to famous musician Anil Biswas. He shared a picture of Anil Biswas holding a stringed musical instrument. The post read, “Remembering Anil Biswas ji on his birth anniversary,” and included folded hands emojis.
Dilip Kumar was considered the ‘Tragedy King’ of Indian cinema and was one of the finest actors of the Indian film industry. In his career spanning five decades, he acted in many memorable films like ‘Jwar Bhata’, ‘Andaz’, ‘Deedar’, ‘Daag’, ‘Devdas’, ‘Naya Daur’, ‘Madhumati’, ‘Mughal-e-Azam’, ‘Ganga Jamuna’, ‘Kranti’, ‘Karma’ and ‘Saudagar’. He died at the age of 98 and was married to actress Saira Banu.
Anil Biswas is considered one of the creators of Hindi film music. He introduced orchestral arrangements and excellent background scores. Anil Biswas composed memorable music for films like ‘Kismat’, ‘Anokha Pyar’, ‘Tarana’, and ‘Aaram’ and was instrumental in nurturing great playback singers like Mukesh and Talat Mehmood.
