New Delhi: An important news has come out regarding Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and actor Vijay’s new film ‘Jana Nayakan’. The film’s UK distributor confirmed on 12 July 2026 that the film would be released in UK cinemas without any cuts on 24 July. This announcement has sent a wave of happiness among Vijay’s fans. The film is directed by H Vinoth and is being presented as a Tamil action thriller.

Ahimsa Entertainment gave information by sharing the new poster of the film on X. The post read, “Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu C Joseph Vijay. ‘Jana Nayakan’ in UK cinemas on 24th July – no cuts, 15-rated. All the action, all the mass appeal, all the Thalapathy craze, the way it was meant to be shown. One last time.”

The distributor clarified that the film has received a 15 certificate from the BBFC in the UK and no scenes have been cut. Fans are hailing it as ‘Thalapathy’s final cinematic offering’.

Got ‘A’ certificate in India

The censor work of the film has been completed in India also. KVN Productions on Saturday said that ‘Jana Nayakan’ has received ‘A’ certificate from CBFC. The production house wrote on social media, “See you in theaters soon friends.” According to CBFC, the runtime of the film is 183 minutes 11 seconds, i.e. approximately 3 hours 3 minutes. However, the makers have not yet announced the release date in India.

Starcast and production

‘Jana Nayakan’ is produced by KVN Productions. Pooja Hegde, Mamita Baiju are in lead roles along with Vijay in this film. Gautam Vasudev Menon and Bobby Deol will be seen in the roles of villains.

Directed by H Vinoth, this film is said to be a mix of action, politics and mass elements. This is considered to be Vijay’s last film after his entry into politics, which further increases its importance.

The news of the uncut release in the UK makes it clear that the makers want to bring the original version of the film to the global audience. Now all eyes are on the release date in India.
