What is the story?
Gulshan Kumar earlier used to mainly sell cassettes and record versions of various songs. One day Anuradha asked him, “Why do you always repeat old songs? Why not release some new and original songs?” Gulshan asked, “Who will give the original songs?” Anuradha assured him that she was ready for an album.
After this, Anuradha along with Anand-Milind called famous lyricist Majrooh Sultanpuri. This team composed the first song – “Kya Karte The Saajna…”. Along with this song, another song was also recorded in the same session. When these songs aired on the radio, they became instant hits. Gulshan Kumar asked Anuradha to make a film by adding a little story between these songs.
