There is a possibility of heavy rain in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. The weather department has also warned of strong winds, thunder and lightning. Heat and humidity will persist in some areas, but there may be a change in the weather in the next few days.
Monsoon activity for next 7 days
According to IMD, monsoon will be fully active over northwest, east and northeast India from July 19. Due to its effect, apart from the Himalayan states, there is a possibility of continuous rain in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Sikkim and North-Eastern states. The Meteorological Department has warned of heavy to very heavy rain at many places, which may lead to situations like rising water level, waterlogging and landslides.
Weather of Delhi, Haryana and Punjab
Delhi, Haryana and Punjab may remain humid on July 19, but there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in many areas. Rain activities are expected to increase between July 20 and 23. During this period, heavy rain may also occur at some places. The Meteorological Department has predicted strong winds accompanied by thunderstorms, whose speed can reach 40 to 50 kilometers per hour.
Possibility of heavy rain in Uttar Pradesh
Monsoon has become fully active in Uttar Pradesh. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of widespread rain in eastern Uttar Pradesh from July 19 to 24. During this period, heavy to very heavy rain may occur in many districts. Rain activities will also intensify in western Uttar Pradesh from July 19 and an alert of heavy rain has been issued at some places between July 22 and 24.
Change in weather in Rajasthan
Monsoon is gradually becoming active in Rajasthan also. The extent of rain will increase in eastern Rajasthan from July 19, while in western Rajasthan there is a possibility of rain at many places between July 20 and 24. The Meteorological Department has issued warnings of strong winds, thunder and lightning.
Special warning in Uttarakhand
The Meteorological Department has issued a special warning for Uttarakhand. There is a possibility of floods with heavy to very heavy rainfall in many parts of the state on July 19 and 20. The risk of landslides and flash floods may increase in districts like Dehradun, Nainital, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Uttarkashi, Tehri, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh.
Red alert in Himachal Pradesh
Monsoon will be most active in Himachal Pradesh on 20th and 21st July. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain in many areas and extremely heavy rain at some places.
Rainy season in Jammu and Kashmir
Rain activities will intensify in Jammu and Kashmir from July 19. According to the Meteorological Department, very heavy rain may occur at many places on July 20 and 21.
Rain in Bihar, Bengal and Northeast
Heavy rain is expected in many districts of Bihar on July 19 and 20. At the same time, there is a possibility of heavy rain in West Bengal and Sikkim also.
Rain in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh
Rain will continue at many places in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh also. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Chhattisgarh between July 20 and 23.
Weather of Gujarat, Maharashtra and South India
Light to moderate rain may continue over parts of Gujarat, Konkan, Goa and Central Maharashtra. In South India, there is a possibility of light rain in some areas of Kerala, Coastal Karnataka and Telangana.
