Citroen Drops Fresh eC3X Electric Hatchback Teaser Ahead Of Launch
French car manufacturer Citroen is a comparatively new brand, and the manufacturer offers a decent number of hatchbacks and SUVs in the market. Citroen also offers the eC3 electric hatchback. It is an affordable electric hatchback, and the manufacturer is planning to give it an update. Citroen had released a teaser image of the eC3 EV, and now they have released another social media post hinting at the launch of the eC3X.
The teaser post has been shared by Citroen India on its Instagram page. In the teaser post, we get a glimpse of the rear of the upcoming EV. Citroen had recently rejigged the names of its models. All its models are now carrying the “X” suffix, and the same is expected to make its way to the eC3 too. The updated eC3 will now be called the eC3X, and as part of the X-family treatment, Citroen is expected to make a few changes to the exterior of the car.
The teaser post shows a blue colour, which looks like a new shade for the EV. Apart from this, the eC3X is expected to come with a revised front end. The hatchback will feature a redesigned front bumper and possibly even a revised grille. The electric hatchback would also offer a faux-silver skid plate to add a more muscular look at the front.
The eC3X is also expected to come with an updated lighting setup. It is expected to get projector headlamps, LED DRLs, LED fog lamps, ORVMs with integrated turn indicators, and more. There is a possibility that Citroen might revise the wheel design on this EV to give it a fresh look. From the latest teaser, it looks like the tail lamps on the EV are expected to remain the same as the current version. The overall design of the hatchback would stay the same, with only minor updates.
Along with the exterior, Citroen is expected to update the cabin of the eC3X too. The seats are expected to be reupholstered and redesigned to offer better comfort. It is also expected to come with a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, leatherette upholstery, TPMS, six airbags, keyless entry, push-button start, and more. There are even rumours that Citroen might offer a 360-degree camera as an optional extra through dealerships.

The Citroen eC3X is expected to use the same 29.2 kWh battery pack with a single electric motor that returns a claimed range of 320 km. It will continue to generate 56 bhp and 143 Nm of torque. The launch is expected to happen soon.
Citroen has been teasing the eC3X for a while now, and it looks like the brand will be launching the EV soon in the market. With all these changes in place, Citroen may revise the prices too. We would not be surprised if Citroen launches it at the same price as the existing model. The current price of the eC3 starts at Rs 12.90 lakh, ex-showroom.
