Despite the tough attitude of the new District Magistrate Dr. Dinesh Chandra, the land dispute is not coming to a halt. Not only this, now the fear of officials among the land mafia is also ending. Despite the order of the Municipal Magistrate, construction work is continuing on the barren land of Chandmari situated in the middle of Jaunpur city.
Continuous illegal construction work is going on in Araji No. 11 in Chandmari Colony, Kanhaipur under Line Bazar police station of Jaunpur city. Whereas City Magistrate Jaunpur has issued an order on 2 August 24 to the police station in-charge Line Bazaar to stop the construction immediately. But the land mafia is neither afraid of the law nor of the police. In violation of Section 133, efforts are being made to block the way to the religious place Deeh Baba/Mazar by installing gates. Local resident Devnarayan Yadav told that on August 2, 2014, the city magistrate had ordered Line Bazaar to stop the construction work, but the entire marriage hall and shops were converted into shops. It is beyond comprehension why the police appear helpless.
Construction is going on continuously. Similarly, under Section 10, there is an order of the City Magistrate dated 2nd August itself that notice has been issued to Sunil Yadav, son of Birbal Yadav, to demolish the building that has been constructed. Adequate time is being given by the administration to those doing illegal construction. It has been more than 3 months, the marriage is almost complete. When will the police stop the work, when will the illegal construction be demolished? The people of Jaunpur want to know this. Deepnarayan Yadav has demanded from the administration to stop the illegal construction immediately and use bulldozers on the illegal construction.
