Cyber Knife Robotics is used for radiation therapy in Ahmedabad Civil Medicine Cancer Institute (GCRI). Approximately Rs. This cyber knife machine, built at a cost of Rs 38 crore, can remove cancerous tumors as well as normal types of 5 (five) mm. to 3 cm. Even normal tumors of up to 100 kg size can be diagnosed accurately and without minimal side effects. The important thing here is that Gujarat is the only state in the entire country that provides this type of treatment in a government institution.
