Claim of bargaining is completely fabricated…Captain Amarinder Singh calls Navjot Kaur’s statement of Rs 500 crore false

Chandigarh : Former Punjab Chief Minister and BJP leader Captain Amarinder Singh has termed the recent statement of Navjot Kaur Sidhu as “completely false and baseless”. A few days ago, Navjot Kaur had claimed that to become the Chief Minister of Punjab, she needed a “suitcase worth Rs 500 crore”, which had created a huge controversy in the Punjab Congress. After his statement, Congress took immediate action and suspended him from the party. Now Captain Amarinder Singh has clearly said that there was never any talk of any such transaction for the post of Chief Minister.

“Sidhu couple unstable, failed to handle responsibility”
Let us tell you that Captain Amarinder Singh while talking to PTI said that this claim of Navjot Kaur Sidhu is not only wrong but is also an attempt to spread a political confusion. He said that he has been watching both Navjot Singh Sidhu and Navjot Kaur Sidhu closely for a long time and is well aware of their working style.

Sidhu, not worthy of responsibility…
According to the Captain, when Sidhu was a minister in his government, he was given two important departments, despite which he was constantly embroiled in complaints. Later he was also given the electricity department, yet he resigned and did not do any work on the files pending in the ministry. The Captain clearly said that Sidhu was “not worthy of this responsibility” and the claim of bargaining on the post of Chief Minister is “completely fabricated”.

Navjot Kaur showed loyalty even after suspension
After being suspended from the party, Navjot Kaur Sidhu showed a surprisingly soft attitude and said that she and her husband Navjot Singh Sidhu will always remain with the Congress. He wrote on social media that his family is dedicated to the Congress Party and the Gandhi family and he wants to dedicate it to the party by winning in Punjab.

Serious allegations against State Congress President Raja Vading
Navjot Kaur focused a major part of her anger on Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Wadding. He alleged that Vading showed favoritism in ticket distribution by marginalizing 70 experienced and loyal leaders of the party. He claims that Vading is weakening the party and giving tickets to people who have no support base.

Kaur also repeated old allegations against Vadding
Navjot Kaur also repeated the old allegations against Vading, in which she was earlier removed from Gujarat due to alleged complaints of ticket selling. He said that Wadding has misused his position to buy expensive vehicles and properties and is now trying to weaken the Congress in Punjab also. Kaur says that due to wedding, many leaders have been forced to leave the party and join other parties.

Internal challenge of Punjab Congress
Navjot Kaur Sidhu’s statements, action taken by Congress and Captain Amarinder Singh’s sharp reaction have once again exposed the ongoing tension in Punjab Congress. On one hand, the Sidhu couple are claiming their loyalty to the party, while on the other hand, the leadership is being accused of bias and corruption. Captain Amarinder’s comments have deepened this controversy. Political analysts believe that this clash could pose a serious challenge to the Punjab Congress in the coming months, especially when the party is trying to re-establish itself in the state.
