Clash in Himachal Pradesh over arrest of three Youth Congress workers…high voltage drama lasted for 20 hours
There was a fierce battle in Himachal Pradesh over the arrest of three Youth Congress workers who were protesting during the AI Summit in Bharat Mandapam, Delhi. The special thing is that the game of thief police continued for 20 hours between the police of Delhi, Haryana and Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh. This dispute over detention, stop and release continued from Wednesday morning till Thursday morning.
At the same time, late night in Chirgaon police station of Shimla, a case of kidnapping of three accused of Youth Congress has been registered against the police team of Delhi and Haryana. Shimla Police now issued a press release on Thursday morning saying that on Wednesday morning Shimla Police was informed by the owner of Chanshul Resort in Chirgaon, Rohru that some persons were in vehicles with civil clothes and registration numbers outside Himachal and took away three people staying in the resort with them. These people also took some electronic items and digital video recorder into their possession.
Shimla Police immediately initiated legal action to ascertain the facts and ensure that all procedures are carried out in strict accordance with the law. In coordination with Solan Police, Shimla Police teams arrested the concerned persons at Shogi, ISBT Shimla and Dharampur. During investigation, it was revealed that the group belonged to Delhi and Haryana Police personnel, who had chased and detained these three persons in connection with a case registered in Delhi.
Shimla Police said that to protect the rights of all the concerned persons and to fully follow the legal procedures, Shimla Police produced them before the local competent court. As per legal procedure, medical examination of all three persons was also done at Ripon Hospital, Shimla. Later, the ACJM court sent the accused on 18-hour transit remand to the police. After completing all the legal formalities and necessary verification, the team of Delhi and Haryana Police was allowed to go to Delhi along with the concerned persons.
Shimla Police said that a case has been registered in Chirgaon police station and the investigation is going on. Rohru Police has registered a case against Delhi Police under the section of BNS. Shimla’s ASP Abhishek told Delhi Police’s ACP Rahul at the Shoghi barrier that a case of kidnapping has been registered against him because he did not follow the procedure for arresting the accused. Let us tell you that the three accused who demonstrated shirtless have been identified as Saurabh Singh and Arbaaz Khan of UP and Siddharth Avadhoot of Madhya Pradesh.
