CM Atishi inspected Chhath Ghat, called BJP anti-Purvanchal party

New Delhi: The great festival of faith, Chhath, will begin with bathing and eating on 5th November. Before this four-day long festival, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi reviewed Chhath Puja on Monday. During this, he inspected the ghat built at ITO for Chhath Puja.

Chief Minister Atishi also criticized BJP for disrupting the Mahaparva Chhath. He said, the festival of Chhath Puja is most important for our Purvanchali brothers and sisters. Apart from the Purvanchal brothers and sisters, now all the people of Delhi have faith in Chhathi Maiya. Ever since the Aam Aadmi Party government was formed in Delhi under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal, they have given respect to the festival of Chhath. Probably never given before.

While talking to the media, Chief Minister Atishi said, till 2014, Chhath puja was organized at only 60 places in the entire Delhi, which were organized by the government, but I am happy that today Chhath puja was organized at more than a thousand locations in Delhi. Chhath Ghats are being built by the Delhi Government. The entire machinery of Delhi government is engaged in the construction of Chhath Ghat. Water is being arranged by Delhi Jal Board. I have also inspected the elephant ghat of ITO today. He further said, all necessary arrangements are being made from our side regarding Chhath festival. All our MLAs and ministers are also continuously inspecting all the Chhath Ghats. We just hope that the blessings of Chhathi Maiya remain with all the people of Delhi.

Chief Minister Atishi further criticized BJP and said, the sad thing is that BJP is anti-Purvanchal party. We know that one of their former MPs had chased and beaten the president of his party's Purvanchal wing a few years ago, but the BJP did not take any action during that time. Today the anti-Purvanchal face of BJP has once again come in front of everyone. Chhath puja has been happening in Greater Kailash for the last eight years, but BJP MPs and leaders are trying to stop it. I would like to tell the BJP that Chhathi Maiya neither belongs to the Aam Aadmi Party nor to the Purvanchali brothers and sisters, but she belongs to everyone.
