CM Atishi wished the people of Delhi on the occasion of Chhath festival, said – Delhi government is making 1000 artificial ghats in Delhi.
Delhi Chief Minister Atishi said in a press conference on Tuesday that the Delhi government has constructed 1000 Chhath Ghats for the Chhath festival so that people do not have to go more than 1-2 km from their homes. Starting the press conference, Atishi said, “Ever since the AAP government has been formed, the people of Delhi have been celebrating Chhath with pomp. There was a time when our brothers and sisters had to go to their villages in trains and buses to celebrate the festival of Chhath. In the last 10 years, ever since the Aam Aadmi Party government has been formed, Chhath festival is celebrated with great pomp and show in Delhi.
'Declaration of holiday on 7th'
“Delhi government is organizing a grand celebration of Chhath this year also. Arghya will be offered to the Sun God in the evening on 7th. This year, Delhi government has declared a holiday on 7th. Apart from this, 1000 Chhath Ghats are being built all over Delhi, where puja will be held on the evening of 7th and morning of 8th.
'Chhath, the festival of all Delhiites'
'Chhath Puja, which is being organized on such a grand scale, has started in the last 10 years. Before Arvind Kejriwal became the Chief Minister in 2014, there were only 60 Chhath Ghats in the whole of Delhi, but today after 10 years, 1000 Chhath Ghats are being built by the Delhi government.

“Events are organized at these ghats by the Delhi Government, water arrangements and medical facilities are also provided by the Delhi Jal Board. Our Purvanchali brothers and sisters in Delhi will not have to go more than 1-2 km away from their homes. This is a festival of all Delhiites.”
Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva said that Chhath Puja will start from Tuesday, but no attention has been paid to the cleanliness of Yamuna. The condition of Yamuna is pathetic from Wazirabad to Kalindi Kunj, people are forced to worship in the contaminated water. At the same time, AAP minister Saurabh Bhardwaj and other MLAs are engaged in politicizing Chhath Ghats.
