CM Bhupendra Patel launches ‘Gujarat AI Stack’, beginning of big changes in Digital Gujarat

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel launched the state’s first ‘Gujarat AI Stack’ at the inaugural session of the Regional AI Impact Conference held at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar on Thursday. Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Shanghvi and Science and Technology Minister Arjun Modhwadia were also present on this occasion. While inaugurating the AI ​​Experience Zone, the Chief Minister visited the stalls of startups.

Gujarat AI stack will make governance fast, accurate and citizen-centric

CM Patel said that the target has been set to make digital governance in the state smart, fast and completely citizen-centric. Through Gujarat AI Stack, “plug-and-play” AI models can be adopted across the state. It includes six important AI tools like Agriculture AI, Scheme Eligibility Check, Procurement Chatbot, Complaint Classification, Document Extractor and Chat Management. Through these tools, data sharing between departments will be faster and real-time review of the results of the schemes will be possible.

Gujarat Cloud Adoption Guidelines 2025 also launched

‘Gujarat Cloud Adoption Guidelines 2025’ were also released at the event. The Chief Minister said that these guidelines will make digital governance secure, scalable and AI-ready. Also, there will be better utilization of computing resources approved by Meitei in the state.

Two important MoUs were also signed during this period—the first with Google and Bhashini to build multilingual AI and Gujarati language models, and the second with GIFT City and Henox to build cable landing stations in the state. With this, Gujarat will become a major center of global digital connectivity.

‘AI is no longer a technology, a mission for national progress’: Chief Minister

CM Patel said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, AI has now become not just a technology but a mission for the progress of the country. He said that in the last ten years technology has reached even the smallest person and the launch of India AI Mission is a historic step. Gujarat has also formed a special task force in this direction.

He said that the collective brainstorming taking place in this conference will be helpful in transforming today’s work into tomorrow’s potential with the help of technology.

Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi said – ‘Gujarat is creating a new era of AI’

Speaking at the event, Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi said that Gujarat has always respected both guests and innovation. He said that our aim is not to increase human versus machine cooperation, but to increase cooperation between ‘human and machine’. AI is no longer a technical field, but has become the new fuel that powers every sector.

Sanghvi said that the AI ​​Center of Excellence built in collaboration with Microsoft in GIFT City is bringing major changes in sectors like health, construction and education. In the agriculture sector, ‘Crop AI’ is helping farmers save water and reduce pesticides. More than one lakh farmers are getting information about crop health and soil from the ‘Krishi Pragati’ platform.
