Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has recently given a clear message to women in various public meetings that the Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana will not be stopped. He has assured the women that this scheme will continue for the empowerment of women. He was speaking at a public meeting organized in Ambernath.

Fadnavis said, “As long as Devbhau is there, this scheme will not stop. We want to bring transparent governance. We will not allow any goons to gather.” He also targeted the opposition and said that we are not the people to talk when elections come.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis further said, “We will start local trains with 15 coaches for Ambernathkars. Local service will be available in 10 to 15 minutes. Ambernath Badlapur has become a habit of traveling local. I have also traveled in local, now I am not used to it.”

He said, “What Devbhau says, he does and what he doesn’t say, he definitely does. The dams have been like this for many years. No one has paid much attention to the city. Ever since I have become the Chief Minister, I have done irrigation. I have demanded two dams. I have told MMRDA that the work of both the dams will be completed and the dam water will be available for drinking in three years.” Taking a dig at the opposition, he said that we are not the people to talk when elections come. He also said that Development work will be done in the MMR area. He also said that the girl child scheme will not be stopped.

A few hours before the meeting, the police had tightened security at the meeting venue because there was an incident of firing at the office of a BJP candidate.
