CM Dhami called a high level meeting regarding Chardham and Hemkund Yatra, gave strict instructions to officials

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami called a high-level meeting on Tuesday. In the meeting held at the Secretariat, the CM instructed the officials that special care should be taken for the safety, facilities and arrangements of all the devotees coming on Chardham and Hemkund Sahib Yatra. CM said that the state government heartily welcomes all the devotees and tourists coming to Devbhoomi. CM said that Uttarakhand is an invaluable heritage of faith, culture and natural beauty. The CM has appealed to the travelers to enjoy the peaceful and spiritual environment of the state. CM asked people not to pay attention to any kind of rumours.

Action will be taken against the culprits

CM mentioned the recent incidents in Karnaprayag and Nagarasu. In the meeting he said that the state government, administration and police are taking necessary action keeping all the aspects in mind. He said that action was taken against whoever was found guilty in the investigation. Strict measures will be taken in future also.

Chardham Yatra continues smoothly

CM further said in the meeting that Chardham and Hemkund Sahib Yatra is going on smoothly. So far this year, more than 40 lakh devotees have visited Chardham. People are also coming to visit Hemkund Sahib. CM said that there are three major centers of faith of the Sikh community in Uttarakhand, including Hemkund Sahib.

The Chief Minister said that there are three major faith centers of the Sikh community in Uttarakhand – Hemkunt Sahib, Reetha Sahib and Nanakmatta Sahib. A large number of devotees come here every year. Respecting all religions and communities is an integral part of the culture and tradition of Devbhoomi. According to the spirit of ‘Atithi Devo Bhava’, every person coming to the state is welcomed and respected.

CM expressed concern over misleading and inflammatory information

The Chief Minister expressed concern over the misleading and inflammatory information spreading on social media. The CM appealed to the people to avoid rumors that create division between society and communities. People of all religions have contributed significantly to the progress of the country. It is the responsibility of all of us to maintain social harmony. CM made it clear that legal action will be taken against those spreading misleading news and inflammatory material. Dhami said in the meeting that the state government is not going to tolerate any such activity which hurts the dignity of any person or causes harm to any religion and faith.

All religious places are centers of reverence and inspiration – Dhami

CM said that all the religious places of the state are centers of reverence, faith and inspiration. The society gets positive direction from here. Solving problems is possible only through dialogue, harmony and cordial environment. The government is continuously working in this direction.
