What did Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann say?

During discussions with business leaders on the concluding day of the historic Progressive Punjab Investors Conference, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said that I will fall short of words to describe the dedication of the respected personalities who have come here to attend this conference and become active partners in the economic progress of the state. Leading industry leaders from around the world have gathered for this historic and progressive conference. He said that a visionary and wise leader is the one who keeps his team ready for every kind of environment and challenges, and the state government is working on similar lines.

Talking about the passion and spirit of the people of the state, the Chief Minister said that Punjabis always stand as intelligent leaders and we can do anything for the country and its people because the country comes first for us. He said that Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a new emerging field but human brain is more important than this, which is good for the development of human resources. It is heartening to see that businessmen are increasingly emerging as poles in policy making decisions.

Referring to the discussions held during the conference, he further said that about 30 series of sessions were conducted during the three days of the Progressive Punjab Investors Conference, which would prove to be more helpful in accelerating the economic development of the state. He said that apart from putting the state on the track of rapid development, this conference will also help in creating new employment opportunities for the youth. He said that such conferences are very important to stop the migration of youth from the state to foreign countries and usher in a new era of progress and prosperity.

What did CM Mann say on democracy?

Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the right to vote is very important for everyone in a democracy and we are very lucky that we have this right. Everyone should use their right to vote so that their voice is heard. He said that for the well-being of all, it is important to ensure that the democratic rights of every individual are respected.

Speaking about the influence of AAP in politics, he said that after the Aam Aadmi Party, which has brought the common man at the center of politics, came to power, the manifestos of other political parties have changed. Earlier, the agenda for the welfare of the common man was nowhere visible and hatred and divisive politics were prevalent. If political parties get votes in the name of caste, religion or other divisive policies then why would anyone vote in the name of school, education, health or anything else?

Competition with equal opportunities is necessary in any country and the possibility of monopoly should be rejected from every aspect because monopoly is not in the interest of any society. He stressed that the world is full of such examples where people from lowly backgrounds have conquered the world with their hard work and dedication. Students should take inspiration from such examples to prove their mettle across the world and the Punjab government will help them in this noble cause.

Referring to a bouquet, the Chief Minister further said that there are many types of flowers in a bouquet and it attracts people because of this diversity. Similarly, along with being the granary of the country, Punjab also has the distinction of being the sword arm of the country. The people here are known throughout the world for their courage, hard work, stubborn nature and spirit of enterprise. This holy land is the land of great Gurus, saints, pir-prophets and our great martyrs, who have shown us the way to oppose oppression, tyranny and oppression.

Recalling the great legacy of the state and its martyrs, he further said that Punjab has a rich cultural heritage and the state is known across the world for its warm hospitality. Everyone knows Punjabis globally. Our martyrs sacrificed their lives for the country and we all are indebted to them. It is unfortunate that there are many forces in our country who have looted the country’s treasury and stabbed the martyrs in the back. These leaders are in a race to accumulate huge wealth through illegal means and our countrymen will not forgive such people under any circumstances.

CM Mann speaks on inherited challenges?

Referring to the challenges inherited by the AAP government, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said that we had inherited debt, complaints and bad governance from the previous governments, but we are working to make the state smooth again. He said that the discussions and ideas held here today came from the heart, which reflected our mutual trust and our shared passion to make Punjab a leading state in the industrial sector. The old practice of forcing agreements by twisting the arms of industrialists has now ended and the AAP government is focusing on encouraging industrialization on a large scale.

Referring to the partnership of investors, he further said that the people participating in this conference are voluntarily coming forward to become partners in the socio-economic development of the state. This will boost progress and prosperity in Punjab and create new employment opportunities for the youth. He said that our government is committed to making Punjab a progressive and prosperous state.

Talking about the government’s focus on employment and industry, the Chief Minister said that these targets will soon be achieved with the cooperation of industrialists. He said that since day one, my aim has been to create more and more jobs for the youth so that their energy can be channelized in a positive direction and they can be kept away from the danger of drugs. He said that I appeal to the industrialists to act as ambassadors of Punjab and convey the salient features of Punjab like ease of doing business and most favorable business environment to their colleagues in other states. Our objective is to make Punjab the industrial hub of the country by ensuring maximum investment in the state.

Praising the managers and partners, he further said that I congratulate Invest Punjab for successfully organizing this event. Every officer/employee who worked tirelessly on the ground to make this event a grand success deserves praise. Along with this, I also thank the industry leaders who have come here in large numbers to invest in the state. Punjab offers a more favorable environment for industrial development. The state is a hub of the manufacturing sector and leads the country in pharmaceuticals, information technology (IT) and other sectors.

Highlighting the entrepreneurial spirit of the people of the state, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said that Punjabis are born to always be number one as the spirit of hard work and dedication runs in their blood. It is with this spirit that Punjabis have always achieved leadership in every field and the entrepreneurs of the state have created their own identity across the world. The day is not far when Punjab will be on the path of rapid industrial development.

Thanking the industry leaders for their participation, he said, I thank the business leaders for being a part of the state’s development story. Our government is committed to realizing the vision of transforming Punjab into a major industrial and export hub of the world. We want complete economic and financial success for Punjab. I strongly believe that the main pillars of our development are good governance, digitalization, constructive decision-making, transparency and sensitivity. These capabilities, coupled with our rich heritage, tradition and culture, position the state as a preferred investment destination for businesses across the globe. Punjab takes pride in playing a vital role for the country in strengthening global value and supply chains through its manufacturing and infrastructure.
