CM Nitish Kumar reached Delhi: met PM Modi and Shah, discussed cabinet expansion and development works.

New Delhi. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who came to the capital Delhi for the first time after achieving a historic victory in the Bihar Assembly elections, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday and discussed everything from development work in the state to the expansion of the cabinet in the state.

The Prime Minister’s Office said in a social media post that Nitish Kumar met PM Modi at his residence. He was also accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary and Union Minister Lalan Singh. The half-hour meeting is being seen as an important step towards giving impetus to the “double engine” government’s roadmap for Bihar in the next five years. According to sources, the discussion mainly focused on implementing ‘Saat Nishchay 3.0’ (Seven Resolutions 3.0) which is the state’s big development blueprint for 2025-2030.

The objective of this scheme is to make Bihar a developed state by focusing on ‘Double Employment-Double Income’, increasing infrastructure and prosperity in agriculture. According to sources, during the meeting the much awaited expansion of Bihar Cabinet was also discussed.

The cabinet expansion is expected to take place after Makar Sankranti. Sources say that coordination for Rajya Sabha and Bihar Legislative Council seats to be held next year has also been discussed. Chief Minister Kumar and the leaders accompanying him also met Amit Shah.

After the meeting, Shah said on Twitter, “Met Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Union Minister Lalan Singh and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary. Under the leadership of Modi ji and Nitish ji, the NDA government is committed to taking public welfare and good governance to greater heights in the state.”

Meanwhile, Chaudhary said on social media platform X that he paid a courtesy visit to Defense Minister Rajnath Singh in the capital Delhi and shared meaningful views in detail about the development of the state.
