CM Nitish’s announcement: These districts are in trouble!

Patna. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has given important instructions regarding industrial revival and rural development in Bihar. Under the goal of ‘Prosperous Industry-Strong Bihar’, orders have been given to start all the closed sugar mills of the state soon. This decision was taken during a review meeting at Sankalp Auditorium located at 1 Anne Marg.

Sugar mills are closed in these districts

Sugar mills have been closed for years in many districts of the state. These include West Champaran (Chanpatia), East Champaran (Barachakia and Motihari), Gopalganj (Sasamussa), Saran (Madhaura), Muzaffarpur (Motipur), Samastipur, Darbhanga (Sakri and Raiyam).

According to the government, preparations are on to start Sasamusa Sugar Mill in Gopalganj, Bihar soon. The Chief Minister has directed the officials to restart the remaining mills also on priority basis. Farmers will benefit greatly from this.

Farmers and youth will benefit

Sugarcane farmers will get direct benefits from the restarting of sugar mills.

Sugarcane procurement will increase

Chances of getting better prices will increase

The inclination of youth towards farming will increase

Apart from this, the operation of the mills will provide direct and indirect employment to thousands of people. Transport, labour, small scale industries and local markets will also get new energy.
