Patna. A high level administrative meeting was held on Thursday at the convention building in Patna, in which Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary gave several important instructions to senior officials including DMs and SPs of all the districts of the state. In the meeting, emphasis was laid on making the governance system faster, transparent and people-centric.
Public hearing will be easy at Panchayat level
The Chief Minister said that now two special days will be fixed every month to solve the problems of the people at the Panchayat level. Grievances of the general public will be heard by organizing ‘Sahayog Shivir’ on the first and third Tuesday and it will be mandatory to resolve them within a maximum of 30 days. The aim of this step is to ensure resolution of problems in rural areas itself, so that people do not have to wander to the district level.
Strict instructions to officers: Negligence will not be tolerated
Giving clear instructions to the officers, the CM said that a policy of zero tolerance will be adopted on corruption, crime and activities that disturb social harmony. He said that the real benefits of the schemes will be visible only when they are implemented on the ground at the right time and in the right manner.
Time fixed for public hearing
The Chief Minister ordered that all District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police will be compulsorily present in their offices every day from 10 am to 1 pm and will directly listen to the problems of the public. He said that the behavior of the administration should be supportive, not obstructive.
Blocks and police stations will be monitored
The government will now keep a daily eye on the activities at the block, zonal and police station levels. For this, real time monitoring system will be implemented. Apart from this, CCTV cameras will be installed in all police stations and government offices so that transparency can be increased and any kind of irregularity can be stopped.
Special focus on women safety
Giving top priority to the safety of women and girls, the Chief Minister said that negligence in this matter will not be tolerated at any level. He also gave instructions to make the ‘Police Didi’ initiative more effective, so that women can easily join the police.
Emphasis on improving treatment in hospitals
Regarding health services, the Chief Minister directed that the trend of unnecessarily referring patients should be ended. District hospitals will soon be improved and by August 15, the facilities of sub-divisional hospitals will also be strengthened, so that patients do not have to go out for treatment.
Big change in education system
