CM Samrat’s announcement: Great news for the elders of Bihar
Patna. Bihar government has started a new initiative to make the land registration process more simple and convenient, giving great relief to senior citizens. Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary launched several digital and civic facilities under the ‘Sabka Samman, Jeevan Aasan’ campaign from Hajipur in Vaishali district. The most important among these is the home registration service, through which now eligible elderly people will not need to go to the registration office to get their land registered.
People aged 75 years or older will get benefits
Initially this facility was proposed for people aged 80 years and above, but the government has now decided to expand its scope to include all eligible citizens aged 75 years and above. Under the new system, the mobile registration team will directly reach the beneficiary’s home and will check the necessary documents and complete the registration related formalities. With this, the elderly will not need to travel long or visit government offices.
Mobile registration unit will provide service at home
The government has started a special mobile registration unit to operate this scheme. This team will visit the homes of eligible citizens as per the prescribed procedure and verify the documents and complete the registration process. The objective of this facility is to deliver government services to those senior citizens who cannot go to office due to health, age or other reasons.
Paperless registry will increase transparency
The state government has also introduced a paperless registry system to modernize the registration process. Now the documents related to the registry will be kept safe in digital form, due to which the possibility of loss or damage of the records will be significantly reduced. Having digital records will make the process of searching and verifying documents in future easier than before.
Use of AI and GIS technology
Now modern technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and GIS will also be used in the registration department. Through this, verification of land related information can be done in a faster, transparent and accurate manner. Along with this, the system of providing online land report by the concerned Circle Officer (CO) before registration is also being implemented, which can help in reducing land related disputes.
