CM will inaugurate Mission Shakti Phase-5.0 on the first day of Shardiya Navratri

Lucknow, Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh held a detailed discussion with the officials regarding Mission Shakti Phase 5.0 and gave instructions to the officials. The Chief Secretary said that Mission Shakti is a special campaign run by the Uttar Pradesh government for the safety, respect and self-reliance of women and girls. Mission Shakti Phase-5.0 will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Yogi on October 3, the first day of Shardiya Navratri. Preparations should be completed as per the outline of the campaign. Districts should be linked to the main program in Lucknow through online link.

Women empowerment rallies should be organized in all the districts including Lucknow. On the lines of Lucknow, 'pink booths' should be constructed for women in all the commissionerates, 'pink scooters, pink patrols' should be arranged. Women barracks should be arranged in every police station. Feeding rooms should be arranged for infants at malls, public monuments, bus stands, railway stations, zoos etc. In industrial cities, canteens should be operated through self-group women. Working women hostels should be built in Lucknow and Noida. There should be separate arrangements for toilets for women at workplaces. Crèche arrangements should be made in workplaces where women are employed. It was told in the meeting that with a view to develop self-entrepreneurship among women, Women's Fest will be organized at 1090 intersection, in which exhibition and stalls of products prepared by women and various self-help groups will be set up.

Programs like cultural musical evening, talk programme, health check-up camp, motivational speech, street drama, quiz programme, cleanliness and health sessions, etc. will be organised. A period of 03 months regarding safety and awareness of women and children. During this period, 09 special campaigns of 10 days each will be conducted. Operation Garuda will be conducted for the first 10 days for 100 percent disposal of registered cases and applications of cyber crime related to women and girls. For 11 to 20 days, Operation Shield will be conducted against the illegal sale and distribution of acid, and for 21 to 30 days, Operation Destroy will be conducted for checking and recovery and confiscation of obscene CDs, DVDs, books, literature, materials etc.

31 to 40 days Operation Bachpan for liberating girls by running a state level campaign against child labour, child beggary and child marriage, 40 to 50 days for physical inspection of missing children and shelters run for children and operation for rehabilitation of recovered children. Search operation will be conducted. Similarly, Operation Majnu for 51 to 60 days against undesirable elements and miscreants around women schools and colleges and vulnerable spots, and legal action for 61 to 70 days by identifying hot spots and ensuring preventive action against habitual drug users. Operation drug de-addiction campaign will be conducted. Additional Chief Secretary Home Deepak Kumar, Director General of Police Prashant Kumar, ADG LO Amitabh Yash, Principal Secretary ICDS Leena Johri and other officers of the concerned departments were present in the meeting.
