CM Yogi announced to change the name of a village in UP, Miyanpur will be Ravindranagar.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath made an important announcement during a public meeting held in Lakhimpur Kheri and announced changing the name of Miyanpur village in the district to ‘Ravindranagar’. He said that this name is being kept in honor of Gurudev. Taking aim at the previous governments, the Chief Minister alleged that earlier the name of the village was named Miyanpur to hide its identity, whereas there was no real basis associated with this name.

During the public meeting, the Chief Minister provided benefits under various schemes to 331 Hindu Bangladeshi families and said that development of all sections has been ensured without discrimination in the double engine government. Referring to the India-Pakistan war of 1971, he criticized Pakistan’s policies and said that due to that the Hindu community had to suffer atrocities for a long time.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of a total of 213 development projects. Also distributed transferable and non-transferable land tenure rights letters to the families displaced from Bangladesh. He called it not just an administrative process but a step taken towards historical justice. He said that ‘Parihat’ is considered the highest religion in Indian culture and the government is working with this spirit under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Chief Minister also said that for the first time land rights have been given to the Tharu community. Apart from this, ownership rights have also been provided to the descendants of freedom fighters, who earlier were only settled and were not given rights. He said that these families who came from Bangladesh were living in insecurity and uncertainty for years, but now they are getting respect and rights.

Attacking the opposition parties, the Chief Minister accused the Samajwadi Party and the Indian National Congress of remaining silent on the issues of the Hindu and Sikh communities. He also said that these displaced persons are being given rights under the Citizenship Amendment Act, which was opposed by the opposition.
In Chandan Chowki area, the Chief Minister distributed land rights letters of 5338 hectares to 4356 families of Tharu community and 4251 hectares of land to 2350 families from Eastern Uttar Pradesh. He assured that now these families will not be harassed by any department and the possibility of illegal occupation of their land will also be eliminated.
