Officials said they have ordered 28 lakh lamps from local artisans, so that even if 10 percent of the lamps get damaged due to some reason, the target of lighting 25 lakh lamps can be achieved. Preparations are in full swing at Ram Ki Paidi and other ghats to create a new world record. Ghat in-charge and coordinator are regularly guiding the volunteers who are placing the lamps in an organized manner at the ghat. This will be the eighth Deepotsav program in Ayodhya under the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath government. The government has made arrangements to host five to six thousand people at the ghats. At the same time, 40 huge LED screens have been installed to show the live telecast of the program to other people. The aim of the Festival of Lights is to showcase the spiritual, traditional and cultural essence of the religious city. Artists from six countries, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia and Indonesia will also perform in this program.
